4th of July in Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole is an exciting place to celebrate the fourth of July. The three major events of the day are the 4th of July Parade, Music in the Hole and the Jackson Hole Jaycees 4th of July Fireworks Display. The Howdy Pardner Ambassador Club, an arm of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, facilitates the morning parade. The parade route includes most of the downtown Jackson area, including the Town Square.

Music in the Hole is a free outdoor concert put on by the Grand Teton Music Festival that takes place on the 4th of July. The event features the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra along with other community bands. As many as 12,000 people have set out blankets in front of the outdoor stage at Alpine Field in west Jackson to enjoy a patriotic day under the typically bluebird skies of Jackson Hole. The musical event often features familiar patriotic tunes but also endeavors to keep the event fresh by adding other musical elements.

Several food and beverage vendors are on hand to serve you if you forgot your picnic spread. Visit the Music in the Hole Web site for more information. Jackson Hole's 4th of July Celebration concludes with a world-class fireworks display put on by the Jackson Hole Jaycees. Despite Jackson's small size, the town puts on a fireworks show to rival any in the country. Thousands of locals and visitors gather at the base of Snow King Mountain at dusk to take in the fireworks show.
