Grand Teton Music Festival - The Planets
Join the Festival for a most "heavenly" program. First, the hauntingly beautiful Trois Petites Liturgies of Olivier Messiaen feature the San Francisco Festival Chorale, and the program continues with an awe-inspiring one-hour space voyage with the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra. The Festival Orchestra, led by Music Director Donald Runnicles, will be joined by the San Francisco Chorale to perform The Planets of Gustav Holst accompanied by dramatic film and photo images from various unmanned NASA spacecraft. $50

Grand Teton Music Festival - Storytellers
This colorful concert tells the tale of a roguish libertine, evokes imagery of the English countryside, and paints a vivid picture of the rolling hills of Scotland. Strauss' tone poem based on the legend of Don Juan sets a dramatic stage, and Festival veteran musician Robert Atherholt, Principal Oboe of the Houston Symphony, brings Vaughn Williams' lush oboe concerto to life. The program closes with Mendelssohn's Third, nicknamed the "Scottish," a symphonic travelogue of the composer's trip to Scotland. $50
